 - Le società del Vecchio Continente sono le
prime, in ordine di tempo, a realizzare la Rivoluzione industriale: a partire dal
Settecento l’industria comincia a svilupparsi fino a prevalere sull’agricoltura
ed a cambiare in modo radicale le basi produttive di ciascun paese.
L’Europa conosce, sul
finire del XIX secolo, il massimo della sua potenza e del suo prestigio nel mondo, ma già
un nuovo paese si prepara a succederle nel primato: gli Stati
Uniti d’America, la cui civiltà è diretta emanazione di quella europea. Ciò
avviene attraverso due guerre mondiali, nelle quali esplodono gli insanabili contrasti tra
i diversi capitalismi.

razzismo, il crimine crescente ed una moltitudine di altri mali, minacciano le comunità e
le società sia del Nord che del Sud, rendendo sempre più piccolo il divario fra i Paesi
in via di sviluppo e quelli sviluppati Contemporaneamente, si tenta di dare
un’ideologia a questo bisogno di unità: l’europeismo. Ma, anche quando è
proclamato con oneste intenzioni, l’europeismo si scontra con un sostanziale
mutamento del sistema economico mondiale, il quale favorisce sempre più e soltanto i
grandi gruppi monopolistici transnazionali.

attraversato da sempre più gravi incertezze ed errori, crolla miseramente sotto il peso
insopportabile di una elefantiaca burocrazia di Stato che nulla ha a che vedere con il
socialismo. E vuole partecipare alla spartizione del bottino (ossia allo sfruttamento dei
paesi del Sud del mondo), senza rendersi conto che è solo un mercato migliore e più
ricettivo per l’Occidente che pensa esclusivamente ai propri interessi.
